The Through Line
I did not build what I have built because things went smoothly.
I built it because they did not. And somewhere in the middle of the hard seasons, I learned something most people only hear about — brokenness is not the end of a story. It is often the beginning of the best one.
Today I run martial arts schools where we raise leaders. I consult with school owners who want to build something that outlasts them. I wrote a book for the people who have been through it. And I speak to rooms full of people who need to hear that it is possible to come out the other side.
